Paper Reviews
Network Simulation and Testing
Spring 2006
There will be 2 paper review assignments, one from
the paper collection on Internet Traffic and Internet
Topology and the other from the collection on Internet Dynamics
and Case Study. Read the paper you select in detail and write
a review, which should contain:
- the paper title
- a summary
- an evaluation
Grading Criteria:
A summary and an evaluation are the minimum. If you are able to complete these
you get an A. If either of the parts is missing or the parts
are not executed so that the grader could assess your
understanding of the paper, you get something lower than an A.
On the other hand, if you execute the summary or the evaluation
in an extraordinary way, you get an A+. By extraordinary, the
grader prefers to see one's genuine interpretations or opinions.
The summary could be either detailed or concise. The evaluation
could be positive or negative with elaborated comments on the
1) clarity, 2) correctness, 3) originality, and 4) significance
of the paper. And usually the best evalution comes with suggestions
on how to improve the paper or to which direction to continue the
work.
