- (01/16/04, Friday) The Final Exam
is out. Have fun!
- (01/16/04, Friday) The Homework #5
should now be in place (Thanks to the a kin student's reminder).
- (01/09/04, Friday) Given that the university
grade submission deadline
is extended to 02/04/2004, the deadline
of the Homework #5, term project, and take-home final exam is also
extended to 01/20/2004.
- (01/09/04, Friday) The Homework #5 assignment will
be delayed for a few days and most probably available over the
weekend.
- (01/02/04, Friday) The Homework #5 will be assigned
over the weekend.
- (01/02/04, Friday) The grades of the homeworks,
final exam, and term project, as well as the semester grades
will be available by 01/20/04 by email request to phuang@cc.ee.ntu.edu.tw.
- (01/02/04, Friday) The scope of the exam will be all
material covered in the lectures until 01/09/04.
- (01/02/04, Friday) The final exam will be take-home. It
will be due at the same date as the Homework #5 and term project
on 01/16/04 23:59:59. The submission instruction will be available
as the exam questions are released.
- (12/20/03, Saturday) Here's your Christmas present --
the Homework #4.
It's out and will be due on the 12/26/2003, 23:59:59. Enjoy and

- (12/19/03, Friday) All teams working towards the
term project have completed the discussion and finalized
the term project subjet. Please start early. They,
6-page 11-pt font double-spaced, will be due on the 1/16/2004.
The same date to submit Homework #5 and to take the final exam.
- (12/19/03, Friday) The description of Homework #4
will be available over the weekend and due next Friday.
- (12/19/03, Friday) Please be reminded that the
Homework #3 is due tonight, 23:59:59.
- (12/10/03, Wednesday) The Homework #3
is fianlly assigned and it will be due on 12/19, 23:59:59.
- (12/03/03, Wednesday) The assignment of
Homework #3 will be delayed for about a week. Therefore,
there will be no homework due this Friday. The exact due
date and time will be given as the Homework #3 is announced.

to meet with the instructor is set and listed in the

exam is provided and available from the

- (11/21/03, Friday) Midterm exams are graded and will
be distributed in the lecture today. The average, max, and min
values are 70, 95, and 20 respectively.

- (11/04/03, Tuesday) Please note that the ftp

- (11/03/03, Monday) The second half of
Homework #2 is
assigned and Homework #2 is due by 11/07, 23:59:59.
- (10/31/03, Friday) Start forming your team for
the term project. You do not need to have a topic yet. However,
I will need to know how many teams there will be and who will
be in each of the teams. The leader of each team will need to
send me an email stating the names of your teamates by next
Thursday 23:59:59.
- (10/31/03, Friday) Starting next week, the lecture
hours will be set back to 2:20-5:20.
- (10/31/03, Friday) FYI: There might be a follow-up
course in Spring named Network
Simulation and Testing emphasizing the experimental design,
evaluation tools, analysis and presentation phases of the research cycle.
- (10/31/03, Friday) The midterm exam will be on 11/14
and 100-miniute long. Please note the specific
instructions
about taking the exam. The scope of the midterm exam will be
all the class material covered by the end of 11/07.

Homework #2 is
assigned. The 2nd half will be assigned early next week. Together
Homework #2 is due by 11/07, 23:59:59.
- (10/23/03, Thursday) The syllabus
is updated according to the lecture progress.
The term project proposal will be due
the week after the midterm exam.
- (10/23/03, Thursday) The routing part of Homework #2
will be assigned early next week. Please note Homework #2 will be
due on the 7th of November.

file naming convention for submitting your homework.

- (10/14/03, Tuesday) It turned out Room 455 was reserved
as well for 1:20-2:10. We will have to make up the 50 mins for 3 weeks
in Room 102. We will need to move back to 455 after that.
- (10/08/03, Wednesday) Due to a lecture room conflict,
the lectures of 10/17, 10/24, and 10/31 will start from 1:20 pm
and end at 5:20 pm.
- (10/08/03, Wednesday) The homework problem set #1
is now available from Homeworks

- (10/07/03, Tuesday) The office hour has been set:
Wednesday 12-2 and Friday 10-12. If you cannot make both the slots,
email me to make an appointment.
- (10/03/03, Friday) Homework #1 will be assigned on
Monday 10/6, depending on how far we are into the Routing part.
It will be due on 10/17 23:59:59. The submission
instruction will be given shortly after the course TA is determined
(expected early next week).
- (10/02/03, Thursday) We will set the office hour on
10/3.
- (09/26/03, Friday) The decision for making up 10/10
is to extend the lectures for 50 minutes for these three weeks:
10/3, 10/17, and 10/24.
- (09/26/03, Friday) The lecture slides are up available
from the Slides link. I will try to
put them up before the lectures. So it is easier for you to
follow or make notes in the lectures. Please be noted that you might
not want to read them yet before you finish reading the papers.
- (09/26/03, Friday) Please avoid sending me emails from
these domains: hotmail.com, yahoo.com, yahoo.com.tw, pchome.com.tw,
hinet.net. I have spam filters set up for them. That means
there is no guarantee that I read those emails. If you have
problems that require my (timely) attention, use your other email
accounts. For example, your NTU account.
- (09/24/03, Wednesday) It seems that Friday afternoon
is a rather inconvenient time for some prospective students.
We will discuss the possibility of shifting the lecture time
in this week's lecture as well.
The priority is, of course, pro the opinions of the registerred students.
- (09/24/03, Wednesday) We will decide in this week's lecture
an alternative 3-hour slot for the lecture on 10/10, a national holiday.
