This is an introductory computer science course for
EECS undergraduate students.
The goal of the course is to communicate systematically
the essential and fundamental technical principles in
computer science.
Objectives:
- Getting the big picture: Area of research and development in computer science
- Knowing the basics: Terminologies, Principles, Basic theories
Topics:
- Fundamentals: Data storage
- Systems: Machine architecture, Operating system, Networking
- Science: Algorithms, Programming languages
- Areas in CS: Software engineering, Data abstraction, Database systems, Artificial intelligence, Theory of computation
